Allison Hite is an Associate Attorney advising Ohio School Districts in the areas of special education, employment matters, student discipline, public records, and discrimination complaints.

Before joining Ennis Britton, Allison served as an Attorney for the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, where she was responsible for investigating, mediating, and resolving complaints. She also previously served as a Staff Attorney at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.  Earlier in her career, she held roles with City Year Inc. and Heifer International and spent time learning and working in Vienna, Austria, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Allison also founded Never, Ever Give Up – CLE, a written word, suicide prevention, and storytelling project in Northeast Ohio that gathered more than 800 submissions. The initiative included a rotating public art installation, a podcast, and a published book of selected stories.

Allison received her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was selected as the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Public Interest Scholar and awarded the Dean’s Community Service Award. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Hofstra University and her M.A. in Public Service from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
