Jeremy is a shareholder with the firm. Before becoming an attorney with the firm, he was a high school social studies teacher and coach for several years and served as the firm’s law clerk.  Jeremy has also worked for the Ohio Coalition for Equity & Adequacy of School Funding (DeRolph litigation), was twice appointed to ODE’s Ohio Teacher Education and Licensure Advisory Commission, and authored an article in the University of Illinois Journal of School Finance on Ohio’s constitutional standard for school funding.

Jeremy assists clients with a variety of education law issues, including special education, student discipline, and labor and employment matters. He has represented boards of education in state and federal court, teacher termination hearings, territory transfer hearings, labor arbitration, special education due process hearings, and in a variety of administrative proceedings including before the State Employment Relations Board, the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletics Association, and county boards of revision.

Jeremy frequently speaks throughout Ohio and nationally on education law topics at conferences and staff training seminars.
