Ennis Britton Co., L.P.A. is proud to announce that Giselle Spencer has been recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business as a 2026 Notable Women in Law. Each honoree is featured in a special section published by Crain’s, with the complete listing and Giselle’s profile available through the publication here.

According to Crain’s, this distinction honors experienced women attorneys in Northeast Ohio who exemplify excellence in their profession, mentor the next generation of lawyers, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Honorees are selected by Crain’s editors through a competitive nomination and review process and must serve in senior leadership roles, possess a minimum of five years of legal experience, and demonstrate significant professional and community impact.

Giselle has served Ohio school districts as both in-house and outside counsel and is a trusted advisor to boards of education, guiding them through complex legal matters ranging from employment issues to student discipline. She is a member of the firm’s Special Education, Workers’ Compensation, and Finance Practice Teams and has represented boards of education before numerous state and federal courts and agencies, including the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Ohio Department of Education.

In addition to her legal practice, Giselle is a frequent presenter on education law topics at the state and national levels and regularly serves as a featured speaker for school employee associations throughout Ohio. She is also deeply committed to service and mentorship, serving as a mentor through the Ohio Supreme Court’s Lawyer to Lawyer Program and actively engaging in her church community as a leader and ministry leadership facilitator. Giselle’s dedication to service is further reflected in her extensive volunteer record, including her designation as a recipient of President Obama’s Volunteer Service Award in 2011.
